Dear Mr Cunningham,

I am writing to apply for the post of camp monitors advertised on the company website.

I hold a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Huelva, and I also attended two important training courses. One of them qualifies me as a culture, social and camp monitor, and the other qualifies me as a teacher, consequently I know how to deal with all kinds of children, their different behaviors and how to motivate them. Besides, I have a high level of English. I am a final year student at the Language School of Huelva.

As you will see from my CV, I have some relevant experience because I have worked for two months as camp monitor last summer. I was in charge of environmental activities such as bird watching, hiking or workshops so as to raising awareness of environmental issues. The camp director would be happy to provide a reference. On the other hand, I am used to dealing with children and teenagers as I have been working as private tutor for nine years.

I would welcome the chance to be part of your company. I believe I would be suitable for the job advertised as, apart from my experience, I am a very friendly, sociable and extrovert person and get on well with children. Moreover, I am really good at working in a team due to my family background. We are four siblings and my parents work every day, therefore we have to work in a team in order to do household tasks.

I attach a full CV, and if you require any further information, I would be happy to provide it. I would also be grateful if you could send me some information regarding place of camp.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Elisabet González Márquez

Dear Mr. Richard Cunnigham,

I am writing in connection with the vacancy for the post of camp monitor advertised on the local paper.

I have just finished a degree in Physical Education at the University of Huelva, and I am doing a Master in Child Psychology. I have a high level of spoken English, as I lived in London for a year as part of the Erasmus programme during my last year degree. Apart from this, I have obtained a diploma in First Aids.

As you will see from my CV, I have some relevant experience working with children, because while I was living in London, I worked as a baby-sitter. I worked for two families looking after their children, aged between 2 -13. During this time I held my C1 certificate. In my free time, I usually work as a volunteer in the dining lounge of a school near home.

I am very keen about working this coming summer at your camp because it could be a fun and nice experience. I believe I would be suitable for the job advertised as, apart from my experience, I am a very cheerful and extrovert person. Friends describe me as being calm and patient and these are good qualities when working with children. Also, I am very imaginative, and I like so much doing hand-makings.

I’ve attached a full CV, and if you require any further information, I will be happy to provide it.

Hi Chris,

I´m so glad you´re already healthy. My family were also sick two weeks ago because they had diarrhoea, fever and stomachache. Even we had to go to the hospital because my younger daughter, Emily, produced convulsions. While we were waiting in the hospital Emily felt dizzy and the doctors came quickly and they had to administer her intravenous medication. We were afraid but, at least, Emily got well. However, we had to stay that night in the hospital.

About your brother, I´m sure he´ll learn a lot of technological things in that company. My friend, Albert, has worked there since 1990 and he said to me that it´s the best record company in the country.

On the other hand, I´ve been seeing different hotels situated near you´re going to work. I´ve found some cheap comfortable hotels but I would choose “Prince Hotel”, it´s my favourite hotel. If you have a free morning we´ll go to the centre and we´ll visit St. Jorge´s castle. I think you´ll like it because it´s the most famous sightseeing in the city.

I´m sure we´ll have a good time together.

I hope to see you soon.

Take care.

Eva.

Hi Chris!! What's up! It's great to hear from you again!! I hope you're fine and your flu is gone out!!

You know? now, I've had a bit problem with my ankle, the last Sunday, I was running with my partner when, suddenly, it twisted so I felt down. I had to go to the hospital and the specialist -a gorgeous man- took me some painkillers and had to bandage my leg till my knee!! how awful!! 'cause I can't walk by myself. He said me that I must stay at home and rest but I haven't had the pills ,you know, I'm not very good at having traditional pills!!! I hate the chemical painkillers.

Anyway, at about your travel, don't worry anything, I'm going to wait you at the airport in that time ok? If you want, you can stay in my home, I'd annoy that you don't do that way. We could go to the Local Museum, to the beach, and above all, to the different pubs at night!

Well, that's all for now, I'm looking for to hearing from you very soon! Write me!

Take care honey

P.S. Take my regards your family and say your brother that come with you!

Thank you very much for your email, it’s nice to hear from you. I was a bit worried because your mother said to me about your health. Now I’m quieter and I hope you’re entirely bet better.
Well, I have to tell you a lot of things. My brother’s already come back to Alaska where he’s been researching the polar bear’s life for three months. He says he would like to go there again and to spent more time among the bears... Sometime I think he’ll become one of them. Furthermore my little sister has just broken down with her boyfriend. She is sad and furious but I’ve said to her... “ I’d feel happy if I were you because he isn’t worth”. At least my parents are well, in fact they’d asked me about you just a second before your email reached.
On the other hand,I’m thrilled since I’ve long been waiting for you that you’re welcome to visit me. I can find out what hotel is the best option for you but as you know the centraler the hotel is, the more expensive and noisy it will be. For that I want to invite to my house. You can sleep in the guest room by the mine. Furthermore there’s a bus stop opposite the house where a bus will take you to the centre of the town. And if you don’t feel very tired, we could visit the more important monuments of the city and of course we’ll go out with friend at night. It’ll be hilarious !
Please, let me know your thought about my plan and drop me a line as soon as you can.
All the best

Subject: More news

Hi Chris,

I’m glad to hear from you at least, but sorry to hear about your illness. I know how you feel, I also got flu a month ago. Flu is horrible, isn’t it? Anyway, I’m sure you get better soon.

Now, here everyone is fine, but I’m very busy among my studies at university, job, family… Well, you know. I’m glad to hear about your brother’s new job because I know he’s been looking for a good job for a long time so I suppose he’s absolutely happy, isn’t it?

About your news, it’s great! I’m looking forward to see you, It’s a long time since last time, and of course I’ll be able to show you around. This is an amazing town and I’m sure we’ll have a good time. But you know you can stay at home all time you want, my flat is well situated. It isn’t necessary you book in a hotel. Think about that, ok?

Give my regards to your family,
See you
Eva.
